Workspace overview
Find the main Compact workspace areas and understand which ones show information or can request actions.
The normal TurtleSoupX view is the Compact workspace. It combines a market and chart stage with account, execution, risk, and status controls.
Main stage
The main stage is centred on the Execution Chart and market context. Depending on your layout and available data, it can show higher-timeframe context, session information, a calendar view, and chart controls.
Changing the chart symbol, timeframe, or visual settings changes what you see. It does not select a trading account or submit an order by itself. Some chart features have operational effects:
- Quick-Actions can open a manual order path. Review it as an order ticket.
- A live stop or target line may be adjustable. Dragging an eligible line can request a real order change.
- Chart markers and context summaries are informational; they do not by themselves mean a model is armed or an order has filled.
Account and control areas
- Account selector: shows the account used for ordinary single-account activity.
- Account Risk: shows selected-account context and risk settings.
- Manual Trade: prepares and confirms a manual order.
- Execution Models: contains model cards and their visible status and controls.
- Automation / Auto Entry: configures a direction and programme state.
- Risk Engine / Risk Plan: manages supported risk and protection settings for automated activity.
- Trade Controls: appears with relevant working orders or an open position and provides actions for that live context.
These areas have different scopes. For example, changing a Risk Plan does not automatically change a manual order or an existing live stop. See Risk and brackets.
Header and settings
The header contains connection and account information, daily P&L and automation status, Settings, and the protected emergency controls. Emergency · Slide to arm reveals the separate Flatten All and Kill Switch actions.
Settings contains connection recovery, alerts, chart and panel preferences, account and routing options, and other advanced configuration. Use the named area that matches the change you intend to make.
Information versus actions
Charts, System Health, Session Context, Calendar, and status cards primarily present information. Manual Trade, chart Quick-Actions, model/automation controls, live Trade Controls, and emergency actions can initiate changes or order requests.
Before using an action, confirm the account and read the current status. Afterward, verify the result in the current order and position information. For common status meanings, see Troubleshooting.
