Trading Risk Disclosure

Risks of leveraged trading, automated execution, connected accounts, and TopstepX account restrictions.

Effective date: 29 September 2026.

Read this information before connecting an account or enabling a feature that can send, change, or cancel an order. It does not replace the rules or risk disclosures of your broker, exchange, or trading programme.

Trading can cause substantial losses

Futures and other leveraged products are high risk and are not suitable for everyone. Leverage can magnify gains and losses. You may lose the funds committed to an account and, depending on the product and account terms, may owe more than the initial margin or deposit. Margin is not a maximum-loss limit.

Past performance, simulated results, examples, backtests, and hypothetical results do not predict future results. They may not reflect slippage, fees, liquidity, rejected orders, latency, or other live-market conditions. No TurtleSoupX signal, model, rule, tool, or display guarantees profit or limits loss to a stated amount.

Automation and execution risks

Automation acts on configured rules and instructions. Incorrect or stale account, instrument, quantity, direction, stop, target, or time-zone settings may create exposure you did not intend. Data may be delayed, missing, inaccurate, out of order, or duplicated. An order may be rejected, delayed, duplicated, partially filled, or filled at an unexpected price. Software, devices, networks, provider APIs, and exchanges may fail or become unavailable. Volatility, gaps, illiquidity, halts, and price limits may prevent an instruction from executing at its expected price or time.

Risk controls can run late, fail to trigger, or apply only to a limited account or feature scope. Disconnecting TurtleSoupX or using a stop control may not cancel an order already sent or close an open position. Monitor your connected account and check orders and positions directly with the provider.

TopstepX account restrictions

The current TurtleSoupX customer scope is individual Topstep customers using eligible, active TopstepX accounts, with customer-visible support for NQ, ES, and YM. Topstep's API access guidance says Live Funded accounts cannot trade through the ProjectX API and prohibits remote order flow. The account list may not filter out Live Funded accounts, so a visible account or working connection does not establish eligibility. Check current rules and confirm account eligibility before connecting.

Testing and monitoring

Read feature instructions and verify settings before use. Where an appropriate simulation or practice environment is available, test there first; simulated behavior can differ from live execution. Keep a way to contact the provider and know how to use its own controls.
